No big, imposing funeral chapel. No strangers in suits. We’re just experienced friends taking your hand and talking with you face to face. We’re real people, just like you. No pressure, no obligation, and no hidden agenda.
The choices we face at the end of life call for caring companions who can answer your questions, connect you with the help you need, and offer clarity and compassion at a time that can otherwise be confusing or even downright scary.
Our core values tell the story of what makes us different:
Empathy
Caring is the foundation of not just our company, but our entire species. Empathy suffuses and informs every aspect of our business. We believe that you deserve to be listened to, deeply heard, respected, and partnered with on your unique grief journey.
Equity
Death touches everyone, and we believe everyone deserves access to transformative and meaningful end-of-life experiences. We are queer-led and trans-affirming. We also actively work to reduce racial and cultural disparities in access to end-of-life care by providing like-for-like services to underserved communities. Inspired Journeys is also proud to contribute to the Mni Šota Makoče Honor Tax, which directly benefits the Lower Sioux Indian Community, the indigenous stewards of the land where Inspired Journeys serves client families.
Education
We are committed to informing and educating our community about their end-of-life options, their deathcare options, and the ways that death can help us live our lives more fully. We are happy to speak to any group, large or small, to share more information about natural options and consumers’ rights at the end of life.
Excellence
Death is a sacred event and we believe it requires our best, every time. Our commitment extends beyond what has “always been done” to instead look ahead to what should be and what could be. We believe our experience and collaborative approach will transform the way you experience life, death, and grief.
